「撐」，在廣東話中除解作支持、維護之外，動作上亦有「打開」之意，與 #遮打革命 中的象徵符號「雨遮」（即雨傘）極之相配。一班本土有心廣告人製作了這條短片，除讓世人知悉香港現在發生甚麼事（例如警察拍示威者膊頭，待他轉身就噴胡椒噴霧到他的臉上）之外，亦希望號召全世界一齊撐香港，以類似ice bucket challenge的人傳人形式聲援是次運動。
A group of adman from HK have produced a video ( http://youtu.be/kANgB4c7wIg ) to tell people around the world about the Umbrella Revolution that is going on in HK, in order to gain more support from each of them!
支持者只需要：
1. 拍攝拿著雨傘，說出「撐香港／撐Hong Kong」的短片
2. 將短片upload到facebook或instagram，hashtag #umbrellarevolution
3. 最後tag身邊的朋友一同參與！
Supporters only need to:
1. Hold an open umbrella, shoot a short video and say "撐" (Chang) Hong Kong. (You can learn how to pronounce "撐" from this video!)
2. Upload the video to facebook and instagram with hashtag #umbrellarevolution
3. Of course, tag your friends!
